Basic Course in Travel Industry Studies

The curriculum takes into account all important aspects, above all practically-oriented and varied ones, of Outgoing Tourism.

The Basic Course in Travelling is aimed those who have completed a basic course in business studies or have finished high school, commerce school or a tourism school, and who would like to work in a travel agency, for a tour operator or an airline in future. This course is also suitable for new employees in the tourism sector, who have little expert knowledge and are striving for an extensive education. Through this basic course in travelling, those new in the tourism sector also acquire the necessary basis for their personal development and orientation.
   
Who participates in the Basic Course?


The following criteria are necessary for  participation in the course as well as for a future job in the tourism industry:

Commercial education or experience (preferably a federally-acknowledged certificate) or the completion of high school, commerce school or a tourism school.
  
Languages:
Knowledge of English and French, other languages are an asset. Foreign language speakers need to have sufficient knowledge of German.


Interest in electronic data-processing and basic knowledge in text-processing is necessary.
