The knowledge obtained in courses such as Tourism Expert, Basics of Tourism and Politics, Travel Sector, Apprenticeship in Tourism Administration and Tourism politics, guarantees the security of establishing oneself quickly in the world of work.

This foundation forms a solid general knowledge in IT, Geography, Marketing, Rhetoric and Sales Training. The use of languages is of central importance at the IST. The students are also trained in acquiring social abilities, because nowadays knowledge means tackling and solving problems in a team.

Studying at the IST makes sense. Throughout the entire educational training there is always a touch of practice. Practical training imparts applied knowledge on the spot. Project works together with tourism partners point out problems and possible solutions with concrete examples.

Modern learning methods are applied in the daily lessons. In workshops the students can determine their learning pace independently. During fieldwork the students have close contact with the clients or tourism representatives. Through Skill-Training they perfect single abilities such as correspondence or public speaking. The students prove their independence in the way they deal with the latest issues in their semester exams and final dissertations.
