Basic Course in Travel Industry Studies
(Full-time or Part-Time)
Course duration
The course consists of 480 lessons of 45 minutes each.
Course times
Full-time course: The course spans about three months Monday to Friday with eight lessons per day. Lessons start at 9.15 and finish at 16.45.
Part-time course: The course is about nine months long. On Tuesdays there are four lessons from 18.15 till 21.30. On Saturdays eight lessons take place, from 9.15 till 16.45. Additionally, there are two intensive weeks.

Courses begin several times in the year.
Course fee
The fee is CHF 7500.– *. This includes all course material, the use of electronic reservation systems as well as exam fees. This amount is due ten days prior to the commencement of the course.
Additionally a registration fee of CHF 200.– *is charged, which is to be paid upon registration.
Examinations and certificates
There is a written, practical and oral diploma examination. Successful students receive the IST Diploma ‘‘Basic Course in Travel Industry Studies’’, which is recognized in the travel industry.
